Potters Bar is served by a, sadly diminishing, number of bus services. You are recommended to check their timetables before attempting to travel, in case of any changes. The links below may be helpful.

The former 84 route between New Barnet and St Albans via Potters Bar is now run in two independent sections. The part between Potters Bar and St Albans is run as the route 84 by Sullivan's, whose buses run anticlockwise within Potters Bar from the Station via Tesco's to the Bus Garage and Little Heath back to the station. Their buses run half hourly during the week and hourly on Sunday.

The part between Potters Bar and Barnet is the route 84B. It goes around Potters Bar in a clockwise direction and runs to Barnet Hospital via High Barnet Station hourly during the day, Monday to Saturday. It does not go to New Barnet and there is no Sunday service. It is operated by Central Connect under contract to Hertsmere Borough Council, who are sponsoring the route for a one year trial period. The Intalink website has the timetable.

Uno, the University Bus service, provides a regular, roughly hourly, service on the 610 bus, from Potters Bar to Luton via Hatfield, on weekdays, using modern buses with free WiFi and charging facilities
